Umazane roke v čistih rokavicah

Bad writing that has been “Webified” can look great on screen and to search engines, but to human beings, it’s still just bad writing. Applying the new rules of Web writing to muddled thoughts is a bit like hiding dirty hands in clean gloves.

Verižno pismo 123.5

Včasih berem blog Contentious. Ni eden tistih, ki ga vsakič odpiraš z velikim pričakovanjem, vseeno pa je zanimiv kot eden redkih, ki tematsko pokriva pisanje za splet.

Tudi avtorica bloga je podlegla virusu, ki se širi zadnje čase po blogih: Book meme 123.5.

1. Grab the nearest book. 2. Open the book to page 123. 3. Find the fifth sentence. 4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions. 5. Don’t search around and look for the “coolest” book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.

Ok, naj bo, ker imam na mizi ravno knjigo Hot Text, Web Writing that Works, ki jo hočem že tako ali tako priporočiti v branje in razširiti idejo o njeni koristnosti.

Stran 123, stavek 5: "On-screen, italics get shaky, and underlining destroys the descenders (the parts of letters like g and q hanging down below the line)."

Ljudje to zares objavljamo na svojih blogih - preverite na Google-u z "book meme". Če nas bere kak nadobuden študent FDV-ja - mogoče je to ideja za malo raziskovanja? Richard Dawkins bi bil navdušen.
